Drynachan Lodge, the River Findhorn and Carn nan Tri-tighearnan .

 The hill from the east.

The summit. A dry patch in a sea of peat hags.

There are two trigs.. This one , without a baseplate is a mile away from the summit on Carn an Uillt Bhric.

Looking southwest, over the deep glen carrying the Findhorn. Beyond, the Monadh Liath go on and on and on...

There are those who will take one look at sheet 27, spot the widely spaced contours and give up on this hill as a typical boring lump of little merit.

Its their loss.

A very enjoyable hill, as long as you can enter into the spirit of peat bog bashing. There is a lot of bog here, but there are also big skies and the call of the golden plovers and dunlin. the unusual views down the Great Glen towards Meall Dubh of Invergarry and across the Moray Firth are worth the trip as well. Best of all are the surrounding forests and gorges of the Findhorn. Many pass by on the A9 oblivious to some of Scotlands finest scenery a few miles to the east. Its a big blank north of the Spey and for most, it stays blank.
