Carn na Loine 549m. Strathspey

Section 9a
OS 1:50 000 Sheet 27 : NJ070361

23rd October 2004
Baggers Album->Scotland->9a->Loine

Carn na Loine from the moors to the south of the summit.

 A striking meltwater channel above Glenmore.

 The summit.

 Burning patterns on the Geal Charn ridge, northeast of the summit.

 Below the hill, birchwoods in Glenmore.

Another almost arbitary point - its only just the highest point of the vast moorland that is Braemoray. We are lucky, it could have been quite a remote place, but is placed near the edge, giving a typical North East short day on grouse moors.

Autumn is a good time to be here, the colours were very fine, especially the birches.
