Meltwater channels have separated off a spur of the great Caiplich plateau adding Cnap Chaochan Aitinn to the list.

Not the most popular of areas , north of Glen Avon , comprising of the usual heather and bog. Deep glens like the Ailnack Gorge and Glen Loin give some character, sadly I was unable to visit the gorge due to the wind.

The summit is accessable by track and carries some ironmongery - estate radio I think.

We ran into a hind stalking party, but they were happy with our route and bagged two hinds near us anyway. They do were blown off and gave us a lift down after our summit visit. Usual friendly estate staff - thanks!

The wind was tough, but this was one of the calmer days of the winter for me.
