This hill has a poor reputation due to forestry. Most see it from the south, that side is dense plantation. However a large part of the summit plateau is 19th century forestry, now old and straggly with numerous clearings. In fact this is a rather beautiful old wood with views. The summit is in the plantation, but is easily located as a junction of three ruined dykes. If in the area, try the military road from Trinafour to Dalnacardoch. Good views beyond the pylons. |
