Ben Cruachan from across Loch Etive.
A big boy did it....Ben Cruachan and the dam.

This ladder gives a good short cut up to the dam. It featured in an Angry Corrie quiz once.

The usual ascent route from the loch.

Meall Cuanail, a top as seen on the last pull up to the summit.

The summit, with the trigpoint stump.

 Ben Cruachan from Stob Dearg.

Stob Dearg: A very tricky descent of teh West face.

The neglected westernmost top. Beinn Each, 906m

Ben Cruachan and corrie from the summit.

Stob Dearg and Loch Etive.

Justly popular hill. A bit of a variation on the usual horseshoe, I turned west from the summit and visited Stob Dearg, aka the Taynuilt Peak and Beinn Each. An interesting traverse above the pass of Brander regained the usual ascent route.

Its no longer possible to park at the power station, and the limited spaces elsewhere are hotly contested.
