Another view of the hill from Lochan na Larige The Lochan na Larige dam. Now very popular with a high starting point and a built path to the top, over the isolated top that has just made it into Munro's Tables.
This time I went up the "tourist route" but descended the rarely visited, well there is little sign of a path, North Ridge to the top of the road pass. A short and enjoyable outing which will improve as the woodland recoonises the steep slopes above Lochan na Lairige. As expected on one of the last good weekends of summer, the hill was very busy - being NTS there are no stalking considerations.
It is still possible to park on the hydro track, thus avoiding the bandits* now fitted in the visitor centre car park.
*pay and display machines. - after the F&M fiasco on Lawers, I dont readily let the NTS near my cash.
