A striking hill near Hawick.
Judging by the paths its quite popular with the locals too. The
summit is craggy and complex, and is shown as a Roman signalling
station on the OS maps. Fortunately no sign of modern signalling
stations on the hill.
There was a lot of wet snow
about on this ascent, from the East, and the cows were waiting
patiently for my return, ever hopeful. Between the cloudy patches
there were some very fine views.
