An early morning trip to beat the weather and a thaw. Garish sunrise foretold trouble, and it was raining as I left the moor. An easy ascent from the north up mown/burnt strips in the heather. Plenty of grouse about. Two burial mounds at the top, take your pick as to which one to call the top, and a badly bashed up trig pillar between them. Fine views, especially south towards The Cheviot. |
