A major landmark along the Firth of Forth with a view to match.
Unfortunately popular hills in cultivated land cause problems.
We are just about tolerated along one route now, but it is a
poor one. It goes through a farm yard, and worse still you are
commanded to do a direct ascent of the steepest face of the hill.
Instant erosion! I hope that a comprimise is reached soon and
the gorse trimmed to encourage a zigzag ascent, and an alternative
route found to a less steep aspect.
The summit is the northern of two bumps and carries a trig
pillar and cairn.
