Sgaoth Aird is the highest point of the range immediately north of Tarbert. The road to Stornoway passes close by the steep north face of the hill. An ascent from the north is quite easy, but steep, while most will prefer todo a horseshoe route from Aird Asaig. The summit is very tame by the standards of the island, a large flat sheepwalk. |
