A hill with a bad reputation,
but actually gives an easy ascent from the new house at NJ339490.
Around NJ345475 there is a gap between two road ends shown on
the 1:50000 map. This is bridged by a path through new plantations.
Halfway along, another ride heads uphill to the upper road emerging
by a pond (shown on the 1:25000 map). This is used by horse riders
so should stay open. Its a short tussock bash from the upper
road to the summit.
The summit seems unmarked,
but there is a cairn nearby. Otver the flat heather you can see
a good array of Northeastern hills, and up the Spey.
