The northern end of the Hills of Cromdale. Its often done as a big bog trot with Creagan a'Chaise at the other end. I had already been up there on a foul winter's day so had a relaxed ascent of Gille Chearr from above Cromdale village.

An easy heathery walk to a boggy plateau dominated by Ben Rinnes. Ascent enlivened by Senegal beating France in the World Cup.

If doing both, its probably best to go up from Glen Avon, as this reduces the road walking if returning to transport.
