Not much snow about, but a
very cold day on this lumpy hill that is quite a good viewpoint.
Coille Coire Chuilc is the highlight of the ascent, not quite
as dense as during the walk into Beinn Dubhcreag, but always a
fine backdrop to Beinn Chuirn.
Fiarach is a boggy hill, so
the hard frost was welcome. The sharp summit was not a friendly
place to linger. A curious feature with a big crag on one side.
Looks like a basalt, possibly a dyke from Mull.
Definitely a hill for a clear
day. |
