The uppe slopes of Beinn Damhain.
Beinn Damhain from the hydro road. An unusual view of Ben More above wooded Glen Falloch. Wots that then? Tricky frozen burn crossing at the outlet of Lochan Beinn Damhain. Completion party on the summit. ![]()
Rob with the Bowmore. Grahamist number 16. He had done 2 other hills already today, and was to add one more. Some views: Beinn Chabhair from just below the summit. Meall an Fhudair and Beinn Laoigh. Beinn a'Choin and Lochain Beinn Damhain. The Campsies can be seen in the right distance. Leaving the top. Ben Vorlich and Ben Vane are seen to the south. Map: Beinn Damhain This hill probably puzzles a few folk travelling south from Crianlarich. From here it dominates Glen Falloch, elsewhere it is invisible. It is one of the Arrochar hangers on, a close neighbour of Ben Vorlich. It is rugged but not as exciting as the hills further south. It is a very good midwinter hill , being handy for the Inverarnan.
Rob Woodall celebrated completion of the 'Grahams' having rushed up An Cruachan the day before (a remote and far flung hill between Glen Strathfarrar and Glen Elchaig).
The usual suspects met at the cairn to enjoy a dram and offer congratulations. The weather , views and the visiting eagle were of course coincidental.
