Strathyre's hill. Often suggested as an outing for folk staying in Strathyre, and well recommended for a good introductory hillwalking trip. There is a forestry comission trail up the hill, which had a very helpful "path closed" notice halfway up. Something about the path being in need of repair, the path in question proved to be very good indeed, whats going on? I continued beyond the summit , making my way down onto the forest road network. The summit is not too visited, judging by the wear and tear, most parties seem content with the slightly lower South top. Good views of Strathyre and the glen through to Loch Earn can be had for the price of a short detour from the summit.
