The Shee of Ardtalnaig is a simple ridge in a very enclosed location behind Ardtalnaig village. It is surrounded by higher plateaux, yet deep glens on both sides give the hill some stature.

As usual in the area its an easy ascent aided by newish roads, and can be easily combined with a neighbour or added to a cross country walk/ride.

The famed feature is the deep fisure flaked off the east face. Another post glacial landslip feature it provides a good hiding place for shade loving and sheep hating vegetation.

The ascent in June is enlivened by the flower meadows around Claggan Farm.
