Cruach Lusach 466m. Knapdale, Argyll Section 19b

Baggers Album ->Scotland->19b->CruachLusach

Cruach Lusach as seen from Cnoc Reamhar.

Creag an Fhitich, Knapdale's best known crag. Looks steep and hard, but I fancy the narrow slab on the left.

Forest , forest and more forest. Walking in to the hill. (turn left here for Creag an Fhitich.)

To get to the hill, a steep sided ravine needed to be tackled.

Better than a spruce plantation.

 A small crag provided entertainment just below the summit. There are some useful looking crags on the west side of the hill.

The summit. NB recent maps show a 466m summit at 788830, a plain dome of bog land a few hundred metres to the east. We also visited this top.

Again difficult of access due to forestry, Cruach Lusach is a very rough hill of some character. It almost certainly provides some climbable crags other than the well known Creag an Fhitich.

The summit is typical of the region, a narrow comb of rock above a bog, and is a wonderful viewpoint.

We even met another party on the hill. They were inspired by the view from Tayvallich and popped over for a look. Neither party were disappointed.
