OS 1:50000 sheet 25 GR NH045530
6th January 2003

The famous view of Torridon.

The stalkers path from Glen Carron Lodge makes its way up the side of this set of ravines, Coire Dubh-riabhach

The summit, with Beinn Liath Mhor in the background.

A view towards Beinn Feusaige and Sgurr a'Mhuillin

The Coulin Forest: Beinn Liath Mhor and Sgurr an Lochain Uanie.

Another summit view of Torridon: Liathach, Sgurr Dubh, Beinn Dearg and Beinn Eighe.

Descent to Glen Carron: Moruisg overlooks the lodge, road and railway.

Carn Breac from the North. Taken later in the day from Bidein Clann Raonaild.

The two publications that I know of which mention this hill are insistant that it should be done on a good day. This good enough???

The view is unmissable. Going to Torridon for the first time? Well if you have a few hours to spare on arrival, before that traditional trip up Alligin, try poping up here for a good look at whats in store. Carn Breac is an easy hill, and the heathery stalkers path could do with some use..There are two paths from the lodge, either will get you quickly on to the plateau.

The view is not just Loch Coulin and Torridon big boys.. You get right into the Coulin Forest hills, Fishefield and the Fannaichs. In the winter sun lurk another group of hills: Sgurr a'Mhuillin, Moruisg, Bidein a'Choire Sheasgaich and Bidean an Eoin Dearg all show well.

Carn Breac is not much to look at, but oh that view!!!

Do not do this hill in the clag!
