A New Year's Day hill which
was easier than intended, as I could drive in through the forest.
A cold spell had begun, and
the hill was lightly dusted with snow. Despite its name and appearance
on the map, this was a pleasant hill with a dry cladonia tundra
ridge at the top. The northern slopes were rough, once through
the runnable forestry, and clad in juniper.
The summit was a small rocky
knoll rising above the rolling moors. There is a large well built
cairn.
