Highest point of the North
York Moors. Easily visited via the Cleveland Way which is now
a well restored dry path. Many have passed this way on the Lyke
Wake walk, which used to be very popular andalmost a household
name, now I hardly hear about it.
Not far from the summit, a
tumulus set in miles of heather, is the Cleveland scarp, with
some crags, the sudden drop off here gives a very fine view. |
