Cairnkinna Hill looks far higher than its 550 meters and dominates the narrows of the Nith above the woods of Drumlanrig. A secret of the area is the wonderful glen of the Scar Water, looking extra lovely with the autumn colours. A gathering of baggers met at the summit at 12:30 to toast the new 1000er with Glen Ord and Bruichladich. The weather improved on the way down. |
