Titterstone Clee is an industrial island in the South Shropshire countryside. It also provides a barrier hiding the Midlands from the Border country, helping to ensure dark skies. Once a hillfort, the hill is now host to a radar station ,quite a local landmark.,large dolerite quarries and abandoned coalmines. Quarrying and some open cast mining still continues. Easily accessable by road, it is one of Englands finest viewpoints.

Back to that view. I was up there on 15th July 2001 on an evening of great clarity.Macclesfield to Stroud, Bardon Hill to Pumlumon, Black Mountain to Cadair Idris. The Brecon Beacons in colour and detail. Only problem , all those microwaves zapping you up there. Why do I always get a bad headache on Titterstone's summit.

No headache on the last visit, after a run in a small orienteering event. Good views again.
