Higher up on the North Ridge, the view from the North Top, a more pleasant lunch spot.

On the Heather Terrace. This is the South Gully. Someone is trying to come to grips with the crux of the scramble, just above the shadow.

The superlative spike with loads of good scrambling. Tryfan has a strong fan base. I have now been up this hill more than any other*. Because of its popularity, on this occasion, we traversed across the east face rather than continue up the North Ridge.

Icy scambling made this quite an adventure.

*Not one to jump from Adam to Eve I have only ever truely summited once, so for me this hill is definitely under 3000', only the twin monoliths cross the line.

Another visit, August Bank holiday, and another true summit visit. The hill was quite quiet today, and I made a quick ascent of the North Ridge, cursing another wasted climbing day. First time up on a dry summer's day and brilliant fun looking out for problems.
