The hub of a vast pony infested highland, a navigation nightmare, and the medium for some of the finest and loneliest corries south of the Tay.

The Carneddau are not as deserted as they once were, but still provide a many easy miles, once you get up there. Avoid the south ridge of Pen yr Ole Wen.
